B1. Statment of Intention

STATEMENT OF INTENTION



The idea of my new media service is to create a YouTube channel which will be reviewing different genre TV shows on Netflix. I will be picking one genre TV show on Netflix each month and reviewing each one so that the target audience of my channel will get a view and idea of all the genre TV shows that are shown on Netflix and will also give them a idea to know what to watch. I will also be doing a star rating on each one I review, for example I will give a rating on how commercial it is or how jumpy and gory it is, this way it will give the audience a better understanding on the TV show and what my personal review is on it. To interest my target audience I will also get them to comment different TV shows for me to review so that if they are interested in watching something and want to know more about it, I will review it and give different ratings on it to give them more of an idea.



My service adheres to the demands in my creative brief as it's still suitable for my target audience, demographic, psycho graphic and geographic. 






I believe my service will be successful as I feel no one has done a YouTube channel where they only review different genre TV shows or do a star rating on each TV show. I also feel TV shows are very popular and most are suitable for every age range. They have many episodes which draws the audience in.





For my YouTube channel I will have a good quality a tripod, camera and a plain backdrop, that will help me to film my videos for my channel. I will also have a budget of £500 to spend on this channel. When filming for my channel I wont need anyone to film as I will have a tripod set up and it will be myself only showing I my channel, however occasionally I will have people join me to also give their reviews.

Time Management When writing my statement of intention I had to manage my time wisely. When writing this I had to make sure I still had enough time for the other blog posts and had enough time to finish them before they were due in. So to work around this I gave myself a set amount of days to work on each blog post. When doing the pre production blog post the tasks had very little required so this didn't take me as long as I thought so this gave me extra time to write my script for my YouTube video which I had already started to write. This helped me out a lot as it gave me spare time to start the other blog posts and go over the work I had started. For the pre production sourcing materials and content was again quite simple.
